WOW! I understand his fear of Hillary becoming Prez…the idea flat out sickens me. But so does a cultist in the White House. However, as one woman wisely responded, GOD–not Hillary or Mitt or Rudolph–is ultimately and always in control.
The question I have is…which candidate “deserves” endorsement?
there’s something much more important than politics. there is something even more important than democracy (can we say that in america?). God’s government of choice is a monarchy. He is King. He doesn’t care who votes for Him and hasn’t spent a dime on a campaign.
followers of Christ need to put their hope in God and not in a candidate. some Christian leaders talk about the “Christian responsibility” to vote. i don’t see that in scripture. my hope is in the reign of my King and my energies need to be spent loving Him and loving my neighbor.
some will point to the need to have a “pro-life” president. making abortion illegal doesn’t win hearts for God any more than making murder illegal. God cares much less about the law we pass than the love we show.
americans…even american Christians…have often mistakenly placed their hope in an election or a law or a supreme court appointee.
the Kingdom of God forcefully advances and will be victorious no matter who wins an election.
go ahead and honor those in authority…just don’t worship them as the answer to our country’s problems.
