Just watched one of the funniest and oddest things I’ve seen in awhile concerning college football. I’m watching College GameDay on ESPN who is on site at Georgia Tech for the Georgia Tech v. Notre Dame Game. Behind Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit are all the fans with their banners, flags, posters showing support for their favorite team in the contest. All of a sudden the camera pans back to Corso and Herbstreit, and hoisted behind them and positioned in the camera shot between the two of them is a poster that reads "Calvin, defeating Catholics since 1509" with a black and white of John Calvin glued to the poster. John 3:16 signs I’ve seen at sporting events. John Calvin defeating catholics? Too much.
* Just made the connection Calvin Johnson is GT’s main weapon against Nortre Dame, the Catholic school. Very witty. Very funny.
