Well, I’m definitely not a Yankees fan, but they definitely bough..err… earned it. Seriously, they should be congratulated. Also, did you hear Texeira after the game saying that he had prayed and God had brought nim to New York. I had not heard anything about Texeira and his faith. Are you aware of Texeira claiming to be a Christian?

So, to sum it all up, what needs to be preached, each and every Sunday is Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Without the declaration of His great love and sacrifice we are only teaching morals. Right?

If we preach, “do good, be good, say good things, be kind to one another, etc.”, and yet, never say “without Jesus and His Spirit in you, these things we do or say are all in vain, so repent of your sin, turn to Jesus, come to Him if you don’t know his great love.” Then we will continue to see churches stagnet and not growing.

The author of the article is Mr. Fred Barnes, political commentator on FoxNews.

It’s always interesting to see that some people on TV actually have lives. And in this case, it looks like Mr. Barnes is seeking to not “waste his life”, even though he has a certain amount of celebrity.

Tim,

I totally agree. I’ve commented often that both T4G’s were the two greatest corporate worship experiences I’ve ever encountered. Listening to the CD is like salve to my soul on many occasions. There’s nothing like singing God’s praise with a collection of people who truly long for more of God, His Grace and understanding of His Word. I’m thankful for the conference experience.

I’m planning on being in Chicago. Let’s make plans to get together.

Reveling in the CD as I study tonight. I didn’t know we could sound so good.

I thank God that attendance at these conferences have shown that these lyrics ( that I may have personally sung hundreds of times in my life) take on new, meaningful, life-impacting meaning as I am struck by the deep theological truth. On a couple of songs (It Is Well and How Sweet and Aweful Is the Place), the lyrics on screen struck me dumb. I could not sing, overcome with the God-given emotion of corporate worship! And yeah, I think the convention center got a little dusty because my eyes started watering for no good reason .

Hope to see you at something this year, perhaps. Gospel Coalition in April and WorshipGod09 in August for me. Message me when you get a chance.

I was there at T4G2008 as well…I guess with 5000 people there, it was inevitable that we’d miss each other.

I was able to go to WorshipGod08 in August as well. You attend that one?

my two favorite teams are the Yanks and whoever is playing boston.
